Logic Monitor Bolsters Hosted Monitoring Service to Empower MSPs and DevOps for Cheap Dedicated Server
Cheap VPS -In the wake of the massive Amazon server reboot, there is a heightened awareness that technology performance plays a key role in the success or failure of companies. Logic Monitor, a leading provider of hosted monitoring for physical, virtual, and cloud-based IT environments today announced its latest release with enhanced features that will help businesses avoid outages, and extract more actionable data from their technology infrastructure with greater ease than any other monitoring tool. The result is what the company calls disruptive Intelligence.
Logic Monitor has taken the complexity out of monitoring and offered its clients a framework to easily collect data beyond CPU, memory, and disk usage. "We're providing Operations, Development teams, and business executives with intelligence to make smarter decisions about their applications, their customers, and the core of their business. Our customers are not only using Logic Monitor to proactively monitor technology infrastructure performance -- but to measure and monitor the operational performance of their business," says Logic Monitor CEO, Kevin McGibben.
The latest release of the SaaS-based solution further enhances Logic Monitor’s built-in monitoring, historical trending, proactive alerting, and reporting on critical infrastructure, including networking gear, servers, applications, databases, storage, virtual and cloud infrastructures. A few highlights from the latest release include:
Geographic Host Mapping The new geographic host mapping feature will make management easier for companies that have devices in multiple locations, or for service providers who are responsible for maintaining equipment at multiple customer locations. Users can see where a given host is physically located, and from the Logic Monitor portal they can right-click on a host to launch its Google map location.
Built-in support for Juniper Routers, Extreme Routers, Fortinet firewalls, Redis, and Zookeeper databases Data sources, the built-in software driving specific technology monitoring, are core to making Logic Monitor’s SaaS-based monitoring solution easier to use than any other commercial or open source monitoring tool. Four new data sources expand the library of hundreds of technology products for which Logic Monitor provides automated comprehensive monitoring. Users enter an IP address and Logic Monitor automatically detects the type of device, applies appropriate monitoring templates, and starts collecting and graphing data all within the customer portal. Pre-defined alert thresholds cut down on setup time.
External website monitoring (beta) In addition to being able to internally monitor performance and availability of everything in the data center or cloud, users can now also monitor website performance from multiple locations. The beta version includes synthetic monitoring, allowing administrators to define multiple steps to monitor. If all steps are not successfully completed, users will be alerted via email or SMS. Logic Monitor has firm plans to expand the capability and geographic testing probe locations of its external website monitoring in near-term product releases.
With its agile development process, Logic Monitor rolls out new releases to all customers approximately every 6 weeks, free of charge.
